List of passers of the OCTOBER 2011 CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT (C.P.A.) LICENSURE EXAMINATION, last name starting with B

A graduate of the Ateneo de Naga topped the licensure examination for certified public accountants (CPA), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday. Jerome Austria topped the licensure exam with a grade of 94 percent, followed by Carlos Yu Jr. of the University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman who obtained a grade of 93.43 percent. PRC said only 4,066 out of 8,525 accounting graduates who took the examination passed. The licensure test was held the other day in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legaspi. Placing third in the list of topnotchers is Ronnel Mag-isa of UP-Diliman with a score of 93.29 percent. Ever Joy Ferrer, of University of Saint La Salle, and Ronnel Nuñez of Bicol University shared fourth spot with a score of 93 percent. Arch Sanchez of University of Caloocan City placed fifth with a grade of 92.86 percent, followed by Abraham Jose Apit of Holy Name University, Jillian Kristin Deveza of De La Salle University-Lipa, and Elfin Kenneth Puentespina of Ateneo de Davao in sixth place with a score of 92.71 percent.

In seventh place was Jerwin Tubay of Dr. Filemon Aguilar Memorial College with a grade of 92.57 percent, while Chico Arellano of University of the East ranked eighth with a score of 92.43 percent.

Mohammad Muariff Balang of Mindanao State University and Nathalie Laoof the University of Santo Tomas (UST) placed ninth with a grade of 92.14 percent.

Placing tenth with a score of 92.14 percent are Janine Sy, Jenine Tan, and Eunice Valera of UST; Paul Jordan Deblois and Melissa Muñoz of UP Diliman; Rien Ceasar Soliman and Bryan Trinidad of Far Eastern University; and Neil Andrew Yanson of University of St. La Salle.

Registration for the issuance of Professional identification card and Certificate of Registration will start on Oct. 24. The date and venue for the oath taking ceremony for successful examinees will be announced later.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 4,066 out of 8,525 passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi this October 2011.
